Monday Night Darling Sessions

Shoot
Straight to
The middle
Where
It matters

Life
Hurts
Anyway

Why
Bother
We say

When it
Doesn't
Matter
To others
Come
What
May

But remember
The Atlas:Moth
That came
To see
Us
That day?

Choose
The struggle
Cause it's
Going to
Happen
Even
If you
Delay

Burning
Impressions of
My missed makes

I'm
Just falling
Into
Fafiness
These days

Sinking
Deeper
Into
Etchings of
Dismay

And I bless
That 'dis may
Help us
Rise again

Take
Time and
Be ourselves
Always

Help
Correct
The heart
Ache

Bless the
Aimless
Who may
Encounter
Hate

They will
Search
For
And find
What has
Been their's
This
Whole way

The
Paisley
Designs
Certainly
Took time
To
Create

Equal parts Smokey Robinson & JDilla

Mayer Hawthorne is a dude that would probably be our friend. Gentlemanly dressed to impress, the bloke wears a button down shirt, slacks, nice shoes, Bruce Lee glasses and a skinny tie. He for sure looks better than those white dudes that walk around selling Jesus in your neighborhood. He's lovable actually, has a classic soul sound with a modern flare... hip hop to be exact. The music is easy to listen to and the chemistry is good. He looks like a nice looking nerd who may actually get the girl (a hot one at that), and then when he gets dissed, he sings about it. Love the vidz... and the dancing girls in many colors of the rainbow, and for a second, you actually question what the hell is happening... how did this sound come out this way? ...is he singing or is it an old sample? Wha...? It's a white dude? Believe it, white peeps get the blues too. He's a record-digger and will buy a good record several times, even if he already has it at home. He's inspired, and may actually be able to inspire you. He even did a cover of M.I.A.'s "Paper Planes" MH-style. So sorry I flaked on a free tickets. Dang! Check it out... Mayer Hawthorne.
